An Introduction to Stereoscopic
and Compound Microscopes
The course professor wanted to alleviate some of the valuable lab time needed to train distance education students, who come together face to face for only a short and compressed time in their labs, to use microscopes in the introductory biology class. He envisioned a DVD that Athabasca University would later sell at cost to help other educational institutions. I contributed story boards, motion-graphics, illustration and packaging design to this project. I worked closely with the videographer to plan the video and edits.
The Microscope Training Video won the 2008 CNIE Award of Merit in Excellence and Innovation in Use of Learning Technology.
